How do I book on a short course?

We manage our tickets through the event marketing platform Fatsoma, who are based in Manchester city centre. Please click the ‘Book Now button in the course description, this takes you to the Fatsoma platform and once you have created an account you can book on to the course.

I have seen a course that I want to do but I am not available on the advertised dates

We offer each course 3 or 4 times a year so hopefully future dates will be more suitable. If you wish to be notified when dates for a particular course come online please email artsmedia@shortcourses.salford.ac.uk

What happens if I have booked and then can’t attend?

We are able to cancel bookings and refund course fees up to two weeks before the start date. After this time you will be offered an alternative date that the course is running (approximately three months later).

Are the short courses accredited?

You will not receive credits towards a formal qualification on most courses we run (unless advertised as such). However some courses enable you to become certified by a professional body, for example undertaking the ProTools 110 course enable you to enter for the industry recognised Avid Certified User: Pro Tools certification exam.

Do I get a certificate?

All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance, outlining the key skills that have been delivered through the course.
