In this electronic age, there has been a significant shift of information delivery from traditional print media to web and device-based delivery. This has opened up opportunities to work with emerging technologies to deliver media-rich creative work. Pitched at artists, writers and illustrators, this course provides the learner with the skills required to produce media-rich e-publications. The course guides the learner through all steps required in the production process: organising information; processing images; creative typography; optimising content; including live media (eg: video) and web-based inclusions.
All equipment will be provided, however participants are welcome to use their own Apple laptop providing that the latest iBooks Author is pre-installed. Participants are also encouraged to bring in and use their own creative work.

This course runs Saturdays 12th October and 19th October 10am – 5pm
On completion of this course, you will:
- Be familiar with the iBook Author interface.
- Adapt and import original content. Embed and link to content such as video.
- Use hyperlinks for web and email.
- Know the procedures for uploading and publication
Marion Tregartha is a creative educator who works with digital interactive spaces, alongside traditional drawing, paint and printmaking media.
She has over 25 years experience in Higher and transnational education working in London, SE and NW England and China.
An Apple Certified Professional (Final Cut Pro and Motion) she is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an active member of the SIGGRAPH Digital Arts Community, and has worked on several Heritage Lottery Projects
